Kage ("the app") is made by Aoble ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone. The short version: Kage has no account, no ads, no analytics and no internet access. Nothing is collected by us.
What Kage uses on your phone
Accessibility service
When you turn on Kage's accessibility service and start a run (Mission, Hunting, Auto or Watch), Kage:
- takes screenshots of the screen to recognise the game: your HP, skills, buttons and battle texts;
- taps on the screen for you, the same taps you would make.
Screenshots are analysed in memory on your phone with Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition and then thrown away. Kage does not read the content of other apps' windows, passwords, messages or notifications. A screenshot shows whatever is on the screen, so stop Kage before you switch to other apps.
Kage uses the accessibility service only for this, and only to follow the routine you set: the missions and places you tick, your skill order and fixed rules such as using your chosen cleanse skill when a seal is shown. It does not plan or decide anything on its own. It is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities.
Display over other apps
Used to show Kage's floating controls over the game.
Notifications
Used for the notification Android requires while the floating controls are on.
What is stored on your phone
- Settings: the missions and bosses you ticked, skill orders and the route you taught.
- Activity log: one text file per run with what Kage did and the battle texts it read, and, when a run gets stuck, one screenshot of that moment. At most 40 files are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
Both are kept in the app's own storage. You can delete the logs any time with More → Clear logs; uninstalling Kage deletes everything.
What leaves your phone
Nothing, on its own. Kage has no internet permission, so neither Kage nor the libraries inside it can send data. Logs leave the phone only if you tap More → Share logs and pick an app to send them with; from then on that app's and the recipient's privacy terms apply. If you send logs to us for help, we use them only to find and fix the problem and delete them afterwards.
How your data is protected
- Screenshots are processed in memory and never written to storage, except the single screenshot kept when a run gets stuck.
- Settings and logs are kept in Kage's app-specific storage on your phone, which Android protects from other apps.
- Nothing is sent over the network, because Kage has no internet permission.
- Logs are shared only when you choose to, through the Android share sheet, to the app and person you pick.
Third-party components
Kage includes Google ML Kit text recognition, which runs entirely on your phone. ML Kit normally reports anonymous usage statistics to Google; Kage removes the internet permission, so it cannot.
Children
Kage is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your choices
- Turn the accessibility service off in Settings → Accessibility at any time.
- Clear the activity log in More → Clear logs.
- Uninstall Kage to remove all of its data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and at this address, with a new effective date.
